Week 7 - Guerrilla Marketing
We all want to save money, don't we? When focusing on guerrilla marketing you need to spend money to make money, but you also want to save along the way. Some tips to save money:
- Don't abandon your current ad campaigns. Let them work for you. It will cost more money to redo it.
- Barter. Trade services for advertising space or time.
- Gain access to cooperative advertising funds. You could be paid cash mentioning another companies name or similar.
- Look into per inquiry advertising. Pay for marketing when you sell your product and give the advertising platform a cut of the sale.
Keep in mind, there are ways to save money on marketing without sacrificing all of your money. You need to find method that works for you. Save money don't waste money. Keeping track of marketing ads and analyze the data to let you know whether a certain marketing effort is working, is important.
One method to track results is the key code method. Key codes are used in print advertising and mail advertising. Change the key codes in each response mechanism. These key codes will show up in the responses from customers and you can track which ad they are responding to.
You can also provide a unique number or URL. Using a specific toll free number for each ad you run will help track which ad they are responding because each ad has their own toll free number. The same goes for online marketing. Provide a unique URL with each and and when they respond you can differentiate which ad they are responding to.
There are several ways to save money on marketing without sacrificing quality. Guerrilla marketing is unique and you want to utilize to the best of its ability.
