Week 3 - Creating a Google Domain

Creating a website has never been something I thought I would do.  In my Marketing and Branding class this is what I did!  I was able to create a domain name and create my own website.  The process was much easier than I anticipated.  I am going to outline the steps below and follow along to create your own!

Step 1: The first step is to create a Google Domain.  Visit this website: https://domains.google.  Type in the name of the domain you wish to create and hit the search icon.  You will then be able to select the domain you wish to have.  (I chose .com).

Step 2:  Once you select the domain you will then add to cart (pictured below in the right corner).

Step 3:  Once you click on the cart, it will open and you can select the registration fee.  I chose $12 for one year. Then you can select to have the privacy protection and auto-renew active.  I chose to turn off auto-renew.

Step 4:  Once you made your selections you can check out.

Step 5:  Once you click check out you will be prompted to enter some personal information.

Step 6:  You will then be sent to the payment and review your purchase.

Step 7:  After payment is received you will be sent to a screen where you have the option to create a website.  I clicked on this and started creating my website!

Overall, I was very pleased with the process and happy that I decided to create a domain and website.  Hopefully the outlined steps above will assist with creation of your own.  Thank you for following along!
